It was given a complete makeover to accommodate 38 rooms. It is a hotel with young and family groups in mind, who are keen to make the most of the beach a short distance away. The guidelines for the project were to create a fresh, youthful, dynamic and fun atmosphere. All of the rooms have a lot of light, so we took advantage of this to make light the focal point in each room. Both floors were laid out to have a very orderly, even distribution. The two central bodies that house eight interior rooms (the smallest) are set apart by two side corridors that mark the way through the building and give access to the rest of the rooms that give onto the outside and have views.
The corridors were designed based on the fact that they were extremely long, so highly resistant materials were chosen, the design of the doors and the colors were played around with to avoid monotony and the baseboards were made high to give the effect of greater scale.

Four different designs were selected for the rooms that would make the hostel playful and give it color. A basic color chart of striking pinks, yellows, greens and blues was used to give the sensation of light. The materials in the rooms were also carefully selected for their durability. Thus, the headboards are made of ceramic strips, tiling was used for the floors and plain wall paper was hung on the walls, except above the headboard where colored wall paper was used to reflect the predominant color in each room.

The color of each room was decided by the bathrooms. The white from the ceramic headboards was used as the main backdrop for the rooms with the addition of a touch of color to the ceilings and small decorative details.
The rooms have a double bed or two single beds, a wardrobe-cum-writing desk and storage module, and a sofa bed in family rooms, which is just enough to make them comfortable and functional. The terraces are the main feature in these rooms, so we had large balcony doors put in with additional furniture on the outside.

CATALONIA GRAN VIA http://piacapdevila.com/en/portfolio/catalonia-gran-via/ Thu, 14 Mar 2019 10:54:17 +0000 http://piacapdevila.com/en/?post_type=portfolio&p=2685 The refurbishment of the former Hotel Vueling in Barcelona was taken on for Catalonia Hotels.
The hotel, which had been completely designed and customized for the airline, was to become a hotel without a theme on Barcelona’s Gran Vía.
Although there was no theme, the team sought out a line that would fit in with the cityscape in which the hotel was located, namely, right in the middle of the Eixample district.
Looking at the building’s façade and, above all, the lintel over the main door, the first thing that came to mind was a slightly French style but with a casual, modern touch.
Elegant colors were used to create pleasant rooms.
The main challenge was to make the reception and waiting area flow smoothly into the bar area. In the end, a reception area was designed that would be comfortable for workers and pleasant for guests. The back office behind it is perfectly designed for managing the business. There are hidden mirrors and an array of glass.
The bar has become a pleasant, comfortable area for everybody, whether hotel workers or guests, where they can read and relax, have a drink or something to eat. Here, among all the tones of gray, we started to add a few notes of color.
Blue is the centerpiece, especially the velvet fabric.
We created a set of rooms that made a great change to this hotel.

LA FARINETA http://piacapdevila.com/en/portfolio/la-farineta/ Mon, 25 Feb 2019 11:46:32 +0000 http://piacapdevila.com/en/?post_type=portfolio&p=2686 La Farineta project started in 2014 when the owners decided to completely change the image of their business.
We refurbished the premises they had on Ronda del General Mitre, which has a cafeteria area. This was a new part of their business.

A completely new image was designed, as was the logo, the look of the retail area, the workers’ changing rooms, etc.

In 2018, they decided to makeover the oldest outlet that they have in the Carmelo district.
This really was a challenge as it was very small and we had to totally rethink the spaces.
The most important thing was to give it an improved new look, and include a small eating area.
It was crucial for the bakery to be seen so that customers could see what goes on there, and to make the retail area a focal point from the street as there is high footfall from visitors to Park Güell.

The solution to the eating area was small bars in the retail area.
Wood and iron are the main materials featured. They are worked into several elements.

The main display case is a piece of iron on which a large amount of produce can be shown to its best advantage.
The all-important lighting is a mixture of state-of-the-art spotlights that light up the entire sales area and some decorative lamps in the eating area, in addition to light fixtures with an industrial look that hang on the walls.

HOTEL GRACIA http://piacapdevila.com/en/portfolio/hotel-gracia/ Thu, 21 Feb 2019 12:16:26 +0000 http://piacapdevila.com/en/?post_type=portfolio&p=2687 Gracia Garden is a project in a small boutique hotel right in the middle of Barcelona’s Gracia district.
We were faced with a very special project as we had a diamond in the rough that we had to manage to turn into a special space with heart and soul.
The client wanted something different where guests would feel at home and that would attract attention at the same time. This was a tall order to fill.

We encountered some very drab spaces that completely lacked sparkle.
The jewel in the crown was the hotel’s inner courtyard, which had been totally neglected. So this was the starting point for our design.

We wanted to visually link up this courtyard with the main entrance, so that although small and unnoticed it would become something that would attract attention and take you to a place of promise.
That is why we designed a corridor that leads through the ground floor to the hotel’s outdoor leisure area, which looked over by a church’s rose window is an unbeatable setting.

The courtyard is presided over by a huge living wall and two trees on the sides, which divide this space into four areas, each with its own furniture and finishing touches. At night it is a spectacle of indirect lighting that casts an intriguing interplay of shadows.
The whole courtyard is painted in a gray-green that makes you forget that you are in the middle of the city when you step into it.

That is where the idea came from to work in green for the entire project. Besides working with different shades and textures of this color, we matched it with oak wood to give a touch of warmth and a cozy feeling throughout the hotel.
On the ground floor there is a large reception desk that guides us through the area, a small self-service bar and the entrance to the courtyard.
There are four more floors, each with three rooms. One room on each floor has a balcony that serves as a mini-suite. They have all been given women’s names.

The corridors are green, but in this case darker and the light fixtures on the walls light up the signs.
The rooms, in clear, simple lines, have all the amenities guests need on a discreet scale. A large headboard takes center stage in them and also help to hem in the back of the open wardrobes, which are made up of a lacquered bench and an overhead rail for the coat hangers.

The bathrooms echo the cement gray on the ground floor mixed with features in wood to match the lines throughout the hotel.
The cornices and moldings conjure up the lines of the old apartments of Barcelona and preserve the spirit of the building.

CASAVELLS http://piacapdevila.com/en/portfolio/casavells/ Wed, 23 May 2018 09:33:35 +0000 http://piacapdevila.com/en/?post_type=portfolio&p=2688 This is a very personal interior design project. In search of the “perfect” house with my family, we came across a former rectory in a very peaceful village in the Empordà region. It needed somebody to restore it, otherwise it would have gradually fallen into ruin.
That’s when my husband and I decided to embark on this experience. We wanted a refuge for us and our children, where we could have some peace and quiet, as well as making a home to be with friends as we like entertaining a lot. Comfort and warmth was our initial premise. And that it would serve as both a winter and summer home.
It has a ground floor of 280 m2, a porch, an entrance hall, a dining-living room, our kids’ play room, and the kitchen and utility area.

We wanted to recover the existing doors to preserve the character of the house. We painted them and although they do not close properly, we customized them with new handles in aged brass.
We had to change all of the windows and outside doors, and put on new latches in wood-finish aluminum to obtain the rustic look that the house was crying out for.
We found that we would have to redo all of the utilities: heating, water, gas and electricity. It was totally uninhabitable.
The flooring we chose for the entire house was parquet-effect tiling in a walnut color, with 150-cm slats by Marazzi. So in one fell swoop we managed to get flooring that could cope with the kids, and people coming in and out.

The kitchen is where the old one used to be. We also found an old kitchen cabinet in it that we completely restored and painted to be able to store all of our tableware. We choose green and gray flooring, kitchen units with gray lacquered doors and rustic iron handles, and a wood-effect laminate worktop to give it a warmer feel.
The pendant lamp over the island area gives us very warm lighting when we are in the kitchen, whilst the rest of the lighting in it had to be wall sconce lights as the kitchen ceiling is arched.
In the utilities area is a pantry, a guest bathroom, a room and a boiler room where we keep the garden tools.
We wanted to fully recover the staircase that leads to the first floor. We were able to salvage the country-style risers and covered the rest with the same tiling. We were also able to fully recover the handrail.
There are three double bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom in whites and natural linen fabrics has a very peaceful feel to it. There is a door leading to the main bathroom, where we were able to recover a stretch of exposed ceiling, but this was not possible throughout as it would have meant compromising on the house’s general efficiency. This is a bathroom full of natural light with a gallery of arches, which is the perfect spot for reading in summer and relaxing.

In the children’s bedroom, I let myself be carried away by a cottage look with flowers as the main motif and cast iron beds to give it a more rustic touch.
The guest bedroom is very versatile as the furniture can easily be moved around depending on the number of guests we are expecting. It has a very small bathroom, but at least the guests have a separate one.
All of the rooms have a great deal of natural daylight, and it is wonderful to wake up to in the morning.
The porch area with its views of the church and garden is amazing with a large table for long after-dinner conversations.

The project involves the complete renovation of a single-family home, built on a plot in a residential area of the municipality of Cerdañola del Vallés, Barcelona.
The three-story home measures 225 m² and is surrounded by a large garden that wraps around the entire building and extends to the neighboring plots and street access.

The challenge of this home renovation was to keep as much of the existing structure as possible while radically updating the aesthetic of the entire façade. Inside, the idea was to create more natural connections between bedrooms, develop a more modern and functional open-floor concept, and enhance natural light and the entrances and exits to the outside.
The departure point was to divide the three floors into different uses, thus designing the first story around the living room, dining room and kitchen and the second and third stories for the bedrooms.
The main entrance is a large hall on the ground floor. Clean lines are created from painted lacquered panels that conceal the doors to the various rooms and make it possible to hide large closet spaces.

The entire layout revolves around a central module where the elevator is located. This module is used on the first floor to integrate the fireplace, which serves as the focal point of a large lounge designed as a spacious and serene living room that shares a space with the dining room, thus removing any physical divisions while maintaining the identity of each space.

Through two doors, one off the hallway and the other off the dining room, we arrive to the kitchen, one of the home’s central living spaces. A modern aesthetic with bright colours on a neutral base provides an original feel to the space. An outdoor deck off the kitchen and dining room serves as a summer dining room. We enable indoor/outdoor living with the inclusion of large windows that open up the dining room to the outdoor porch and garden.
The ground floor is completed with a guest bathroom and laundry space.

Interior design project for the renovation of the ground floor and garden of a single-family home.
The priority was to create spacious, comfortable and open spaces by enhancing indoor/outdoor living and making the most of the light that enters through all four sides of the home, while also refreshing the interior spaces.
The departure point for this interior design project was to unify interior and exterior surfaces by using the same flooring. We chose an imitation wood tile available in both identical indoor and outdoor finishes. This flooring provides a visual fluidity; we were also able to border the swimming pool and build the perimeters of the home using the same material for a greater sense of cohesion. We chose Natural Oak for the porcelain tile finish.

The next step was to enlarge the front doorway as well as the doorway to the garden, enlarging and creating a fully retractable sliding glass door that bring as much of the outside in as possible.
Inside is a large entryway, laundry and ironing room, guest bathroom, kitchen, dining room and living room.
The entryway features a set of panels that conceal doors, one to the laundry room, another to the guest bathroom, and another to the stairs to the garage. These doors blend in as if they were closets by means of lacquered MDF panelling with just the right design to hide the doors. A wooden room divider separates the entryway from the stairs to the second floor, breaking up the openness of this space and delimiting these two areas.

The laundry room has a narrow floor plan and is designed to achieve maximum capacity with simple, elegant and clean lines. We created a single accent wall with vertical geometric tile in the same tones as the lacquer. It is the distinguishing point of a neutral space that we want to always have a “clean” look.

The guest bathroom is hidden behind this set of panels in the entryway and is fully lined with 120×90 tiles finished in natural stone to create a simple design. The bathroom features a flush-mounted sink and linear indirect lighting in the area above the toilet, a cabinet with straight lines and drawers lacquered in the same color as the door and paneling, and a natural oak countertop with a sink in matte mottled black marble. What better foundation for showcasing this “sculpture”? This countertop features slender built-in faucets with simple lines, and the Slim hanging lamp by Vibia creates very subtle lighting that serves to emphasize this decorative element in the bathroom.
The door to the stairway has the same design as the others: it’s impossible to tell if it leads to a hidden staircase, or a closet…

We move to the kitchen, just on the other side of the screen, where we designed a functional, comfortable and stylish kitchen that matches perfectly with the combined dining space and living room. All with an open-plan concept. All in a single space separated by furniture.
This kitchen is designed around the combination of two types of tile. Dekton was chosen in two-tone black-and-white that we combine according to the area of the kitchen. Black for the backdrop, around the sink and up to the ceiling. White for the island, combined with lateral tiles to the floor. A positive/negative that generates visually engaging contrasts.

All this combined with furniture lacquered in a black stone and combined with wood elements in the wine rack designed at the front of the island and the cabinet/buffet that connects directly to the kitchen and dining room, where we install the wine bar.
The black stone is repeated in the dining room. For the focal point we custom designed a table that features the same finish as the kitchen. Bronze legs create a circle design and support a stunning colored tabletop that measures 180×180 m².

The chairs have simple lines and are upholstered with fabric for a bold yet elegant look that keeps the focus fully on the table. The same goes with the lighting; three pieces in three different colors that match the colors in the home for a subtle detail that lets the table be the focal point, which for us was the centerpiece of the room.
Next, the living room, designed around a modular sofa facing the garden and the pool. The room is separated by a custom-made divider designed to store books and other décor. The TV cabinet is designed in the same lines, as well as the same colors and same combination of finishes. The same pattern for the entire floor. Next to the sofa, a reading chair under a large fixture on the wall. And the boldest addition to the room is the zebra print upholstery, an original element that breaks up the refinement of the space.
Stylish spaces, where the materials repeat throughout the spaces and they work in every room in a different way.

Interior design project for a full renovation of a day care in Barcelona. The project was based mainly on generating a comfortable and effective layout of a space that had been used as a day care up to that point, despite significant issues with the layout.

It features a 1500 m² patio and we wanted all of the classrooms to open to that common space. And that’s how it was designed. All the classrooms except for the infant care and psychomotor education rooms have direct access to the patio.

We sought to unify the center’s image in terms of colors and finishes, taking into account that the children’s activities are already colorful. Protective wainscoting was crucial.
The same flooring throughout helped us unify all the spaces and interconnecting all the classrooms also proved essential in making it quicker to move from room to room. The rooms are connected via changing rooms that have mini sinks, mini toilets and a changing table for babies.

Blue and white polka dots are the brand’s corporate image, so we incorporated them into the main piece in reception. It provides a youthful yet elegant and clean look.

Facing the patio, the entire floor has floor-to-ceiling windows with white wooden frames and laminated glass with UV protection. However, the classrooms can be completed closed with opaque roller blinds.
The patio is fully covered in artificial grass to provide a sense of cohesion and a place for children to play. Corridors without artificial grass were created to mark the walkways to the classrooms.

Interior design and home decorating project for a vacation home in Begur. A single-family home designed down to the smallest detail for enjoying the fantastic views. A house with a ground floor where our design made it possible to see the views from the open kitchen, along with a comfortable, charming dining room. We chose extraordinary materials packed with personality, seeking a harmonious look combined a touch of “the Hamptons” with an imitation wood ceramic tile that looks completely aged and goes perfectly with the different types of wood used in the furniture.

The doors and woodwork were custom designed for this project; they were stripped and bleached and updated with antique brass hardware that fits the overall look. The carefully selected blend of different furniture gives meaning and personality to each space. A large TV cabinet/bookshelf in iron and elm wood was designed to store everything the room needs. It matches the fireplace, an iconic design by DAE. The textiles are linen and cotton mixed with natural materials like rattan, a blend that provides both freshness and a stylish flair.

The second floor with the bedrooms features the suite, which has an ensuite bathroom with double doors that open to a recycled vanity piece with two designer sinks and a mirror with storage, a linear design and indirect lighting. Doors in cement tiles and a shower that fully showcases the views.

The bedroom has a wardrobe with shutter doors that match the vanity in the bathroom and a headboard made of stripped wooden slats topped with a reclaimed wood shelf. Linen bedding in relaxing natural shades offset with light blue.

Interior design project in an oasis in the heart of the city. An apartment in which we wanted to enhance the feeling of refined elegance. The spaces were designed by selecting a range of gray colors mixed with a neutral base in shades of linen and stone. A mix of pieces, some more classic and others more modern, which coexist in harmony. And all paired with textiles that bring everything together. The apartment originally had many hallways and we wanted to work with the walls to give the space some personality with alternating stripes of stone and anthracite…

In the dining room, a large wall with textured textile anthracite showcases a large painting. The room also features a dining room table and chairs in distressed wood, matched with capitone chairs in gray linen. It opens to the large, well-lit kitchen and a cheerful office decorated in turquoise and a tropical wood table that creates a counterpoint to the lighter-colored kitchen furniture and the more classic crown moldings.

The living room décor is designed around a large, dark-colored corner sofa combined with lighter-colored cushions and classic armchairs in beige linen.

The suite is decorated with in classic all white and beige. A project in which we work with two areas of the home with completely opposite colors. The perfect play on light and dark.

The garden is the real gem of this project, with a swimming pool and a porch for which we selected outdoor furniture with modern, straight lines.

Interior design project for the Penguins BCN sports center. The biggest challenge—design a swimming pool in a space meant for squash—was also the most enjoyable element of the project. Together with Arq71, we designed a space totally adapted to fit the business idea that the owners were looking for. A two-floor basement that previously housed a squash court is now a 14×7 m² pool that features a range of games for kids.

We wanted a space decorated for kids, a place they’re happy to enter but where parents also feel comfortable. There are pops of color without going overboard; we know that natural light can be a tricky element and that the swimming pool was the jewel in the center’s crown, but the rest of the space had to be designed down to every last detail to provide all the services the center offers. A warm and friendly sports center where you feel at home.

Ceramic tile flooring in a wood tone provides a unique finish to the pool. Two structural pillars that were kept for the pool design were leveraged to create a splash zone for the little ones.

Custom-made children’s baths were designed along with locker rooms for both parents and children, with everything designed at two heights. Blue was the predominate color, offset by pops of yellow, green and orange in pastel shades in order maintain the relaxed atmosphere that the owners also wanted to provide.

An interior design project that gave us the opportunity to make a dream come true: Hector’s hair salon, his lifelong dream. And we didn’t want it to look like a hair salon at first glance. A venue with extremely high ceilings that made it possible to play with vertical pieces that further enhanced the sense of height.

We wanted the reception’s décor to feel like customers had just walked into someone’s home: comfortable, beautiful and simple at the same time. Walls with distressed wood, custom-designed wood and iron furniture, product displays, coat closet, and storage. On the other side a bench where customers can wait. The reception desk is an antique piece with personality paired with a classic chair in linen. A screen of iron bars separate reception from the area where hair is cut and styled.

Vertical mirrors without a ledge and an extremely versatile stool to the side along with a simple, minimalist wall lamp and an “antique” hook for customer’s bags is the décor designed for each workspace. Simple and elegant, these spaces paired with the lighting give a unique flair to the salon.

The iron dividers help create a sense of privacy for the area where hair is washed. And in front, a convenient and organized “color lab” where hair color can be prepared right in front of the customer. The special touch is the walls: a unique “combed” texture defines the space.

The custom design was hand-plastered on as if we had “combed” the walls. Neutral colors enhance the dark tones of iron and distressed wood. The coolest corner of the salon is at the back of the salon, a bright space with golden accents where customers can relax on the sofa reading fashion and beauty books or step outside into the small garden that we created.

Interior design project in the heart of the Chamberi neighborhood in Madrid, a property that required us to keep some of the original elements like the old wooden beams that lead to the living space. A large and comfortable bedroom, functional and basic bathroom, and a large living space for sharing moments with friends. The living space features three extremely large windows that allowed us to leave the main wall with the brick walls exposed.
The kitchen is basic and functional and shares the same space as the dining room. White cabinetry and gray countertop. A neutral look. And we provided a pop of personality with a wooden table and mismatched chairs in leather and iron, mixed with Scandinavian-style lamps by Universe Positive as a counterpoint.

The living room, designed for reading and resting and not for watching TV, has a large sofa with modern lines and an armchair that organizes the space while a buffet with a retro flair supplements the room and a large mirror on the wall enhances the personality of the décor.

Over the sofa, a basic linear shelf in a U shape adds a pop of interest to the wall, along with the extendible wall lamp for reading. Hardwood floors were restored but the imperfections were left as is.
A 100% basic yet functional and comfortable bathroom. A modern look achieved with simple yet timeless pieces.

Home design project in Maresme, in which we aimed for a neutral base made from white lacquered MDF and wood stained oak combined with a bold green accent wall. The ground floor is designed with a focus on an open space that lets in the light from the entrance to the garden and houses the utility room, dining room, kitchen, and living room.
The kitchen was the basis of the layout of this floor because it served as a divider between the living room, and we designed a piece of furniture that made it possible to place the kitchen on one side and the TV on the other, completing revamping the décor. We designed a folding screen that fulfilled both functions and where the TV fits perfectly, softening the odd angles.

A living room with a large and comfortable corner sofa accented with textiles in the same shades of green. The two “spatial” pieces of wood (the coffee table and dining table) were designed in distressed wood with an inlayed iron sheet. A matching wooden lamp provides warm lighting and the chairs are upholstered in cotton and linen. On the upper floor, the suite design aligns with the neutral base of the lower floor, with custom-made furniture dividing the various spaces.

The bedroom, an area with a bench, desk and a walk-in closet connected to the bathroom, is an important element of the interior design project. Here we combine white and wood with distressed mauve tones.

An interior design project with an incredible before and after transformation. An apartment designed around rooms off a corridor that we managed to transform into a home with less hallway and where the spaces make sense. It was the main request for the project.

We used lighting to transform a dark apartment into one full of light. We gave it another meaning. For the hallway, we designed wide-open yet closed spaces to transform the feeling of a corridor. We designed the dining room in middle of the hallway, connecting it visually with the kitchen.

We kept the existing gray porcelain floors, but we proposed a home decorating project that included small rugs with wood to visually break up the floor.

We showcased the living room, the brightest space in the home, adding an office area and designing a piece of custom-made furniture used for both the TV and the desktop, making it possible to work in a well-lit space with sweeping views.

The functional, pleasant and quiet suite is one of the smallest spaces, so we designed a headboard with a shelf, and play with an accent wall with distressed wood slat wallpaper to add personality.

Interior design project for a Japanese restaurant in Barcelona. Zuka, Japan, elegance, drinks, nighttime, and intimate are the words and concepts that helped us create the image that we designed for this space. Wood, two-toned marble, mirrors, antique gold details and light are the elements that conveyed these concepts.

We added these elements in vertical slats to divide and create spaces. These slats were created in a different combination of materials in each area of the restaurant: marble and wood provide a sense of freshness in the sushi area; wood with a mirror in the entrance area reflect everything that happens in the restaurant, and wood on wood generates more intimate spaces in the dining room.

Dark tones, dim lighting, and the slat design match an open kitchen designed as a “marble cube” with contrasting light from its interior lighting.

The metal façade makes it possible to showcase the restaurant’s entrance when lit up at night.

Interior design and home decorating project for a penthouse with swimming pool and large terrace with the best views of the city of Barcelona. A bright, spacious penthouse made it possible for us to create a good lighting design in light-filled spaces equipped with charming furniture.

For our interior design project we had to adapt the furniture that we designed for another apartment a year later, but with much better results.

Kitchen and office facing the terrace, and connected to the dining room. Large, carefully selected pieces of furniture. Many windows limited the amount of furniture we could use, so we chose each piece to provide the most value. Crown moldings create a special design in each room.

The charming, large suite provides a sense of relaxation. Maximum capacity with made-to-measure cabinets, and the modular set of drawers creates a hallway separate from the dressing area.

While designed symmetrically, each of the children’s bedrooms, connected by a pair of sliding doors, has a different look: one in pink, and the other in mint.

Renovation and interior design project in Barcelona’s Eixample neighborhood. A typical Eixample apartment with long hallways and light that enters from all sides and patios of the building. This time, the owners—great collectors of antique family pieces—let us take risks, incorporating their antiques without giving the home an old-fashioned look.

We designed extremely open spaces and selected a range of bold colors to showcase them. The living spaces were designed with blood red as a departure point; we started in the dining room and then moved to the kitchen. We used a wood screen to transform the kitchen into a windowed space, the screen serving as a bookshelf of a small anteroom.

Custom-designed wainscoting was installed in the hallways for a sense of elegance throughout this large apartment. We designed the master, complete with a large dressing room with mirrors, in a soft green, combining classic pieces with a neutral, calm color palette that provides elegance to the décor.

The bathrooms, the next pop of color in the home, are designed in navy blue with gray, and the guest bathroom in hunter green with wood and lacquered wainscoting. Elegant and bold colors for an apartment with personality and history.

Home decorating project in Pedralbes, where we wanted to make the most out of a rental apartment while giving it an essence of its own. The only element that we custom designed was the bookshelf in the living room, which in this case houses the fireplace, the bookshelf and the TV.

A dream come true: a large sliding door that made it possible to leverage this piece of furniture into three different uses and cover whatever we chose. Modern yet warm lines. An apartment decorated and designed with a focus on comfort for a family of four.

The living room includes an office with a chair providing an interesting mix of iron and fur.
The dining room features a classic table that we renovated with a pop of new color and combined with more modern chairs. The living room showcases the furniture and opens to the terrace (designed with sleek modern furniture that matches the white of the building’s façade and the green of the artificial grass), combining larger pieces in gray with smaller pieces in iron and wood.

The children’s rooms were designed with IKEA furniture combined with custom pieces in bright white and an individual theme for each child: a USA Navy look for the boy’s room and mint green for the girl’s room.
We selected a 3D wallpaper for an accent wall/headboard in the basic yet comfortable and warm master suite.

Interior design project for a home in the heart of the city. A three-story home for which we designed a timeless and elegant yet fundamentally comfortable atmosphere for a family of four.

We completely opened up the ground floor to blend the light that enters from both façades through a screen that divides the kitchen from the dining room.

The stone-white-colored kitchen with mottled marble countertop is both functional and comfortable, designed around an island, separated from the dining room by a glass divider but made in the same wood and straight lines as the dining room table.

The focal point of the living room is the piece of furniture for the TV, designed with two wooden shelves and decorative niches.

We kept the aesthetic of the stairs that were part of the home’s original décor while completely changing the colors. Wide natural oak laminated flooring provides a sense of cohesion among the three floors of the house. The 30 m² master suite is distributed into a dressing room, bedroom and bathroom.

Oak wood screens divide areas of the open-plan bathroom, which features a built-in sink and cabinet. Stone, white and wood: these are the three finishes we showcase in this project.

The children’s rooms, with furniture in lacquered white MDF, were given an individual look with different accent colors and textiles.

This project involved the full makeover of a home in the Eixample district of Barcelona. In this case, we had to redistribute a very tight space to meet the clients’ brief in a home with a complicated layout in which they wanted clear daytime and night time living spaces, but that did force us to put the kitchen in a complex position.

By treating the living room as if it were a large connecting area, we managed to arrange the kitchen space so that it was not too far away from it. We likewise made the most of every square inch of the living room presided by a big bookshelf and were able to make room for office space. All of the furniture was custom-made.

The bedroom area was clearly set off by using the gallery to divide it into the two bedrooms linked by it, with an en suite bathroom also placed in the gallery and a dressing room in the darkest part of the home.

Innovative materials enabled us to create a bathroom with stripes in shades of gray, with the wash basins built into the bedroom to form a dividing wall that can be opened or closed to give more or less privacy.

A guest house in the very center of Barcelona, for which we designed simple, comfortable bedrooms that were easy on the eye and in line with what the guests are looking for.

The guests are mostly young who come sightseeing to the city and want to be at the very heart of it.
The image designed for the hotel responded to these characteristics, in addition to selecting resistant materials that met all the requirements of the hospitality industry.

Every endeavor was made to make the bedrooms as large as possible with comfortable bathrooms.

The brand’s corporate blue was used for the color scheme throughout, with touches of orange and green so that the bedrooms would be less monotonous, each of which has its own headboard with a different message written on it.

A small apartment for two where every last inch counted to create the perfect home with all the mod cons.
In the heart of the Gracia district, we revamped 60 m2 for a couple by designing the key fixtures and making the most of the space available.

The kitchen is the middle with all of the other rooms leading off it so that is blends in perfectly with the transit hallway area, the living room and main bedroom, which give onto the front of the building.

As well as opening onto the hallway, the kitchen with basic units is in visual communication with the living room through a window so that it is bathed in light coming in from there. The tight but comfortable living area has a long unit that brings the eating and lounge area together.

The main bedroom has a built-in wardrobe that separates it from the apartment’s only bathroom.
There is a second bedroom just off the hallway.

A home design project in Barcelona on a very square layout that enabled us to distribute the space so that it flowed seamlessly from one end to the other. Revolving around central air shafts where we put in the bathrooms, the rest of the rooms were distributed around this space that enabled us to connect them up, whilst giving the owners the choice of opening them up or closing them off from each other. The main daytime room looks onto the terrace, with sliding doors giving access to the kitchen and study so that each room could be opened up or closed off from this lounge area.

The kitchen was designed as an extension to this living room. Neutral colors were selected and decorative items used to fit in with the rest of the home’s décor. The bookshelf in the living room leads us to the lounge area from the hallway, a custom-designed room in a textured wood and lacquered finish in a checkered design with shelving here and there. Indirect lighting was made a central feature of the décor.
The master bedroom, which connects directly with the study, has an open but clearly divided en suite bathroom to give the feeling of intimacy if required. A large bathtub is the centerpiece of this bathroom, designed in gray and shades of blue.

The large capacity dressing room divides the rest of the space in this room. The wardrobes were designed so that they worked both as storage space and as dividing walls. The headboard runs from floor to ceiling and also serves as a feature wall. Wood with a natural glaze finish brings all of the rooms together, as it was also used for some of the custom-made furniture.

An interior design project to knock two apartments into one. Cap Sa Sal is characterized by its complicated layout and complex spaces. We came up with a prefect result for a family of six in a duplex apartment that met all of their needs and whims. The main aim was not to lose the fantastic sea views, so all of the rooms were designed to make the most of the available space.

The lower floor houses the daytime living area. The kitchen with an extremely neutral and functional décor had a small pantry that now accommodates a counter and three stools.
The dining area, which leads into the living room, has a custom-made piece of furniture that divides off a small room that can either be used as a completely separate area or as part of the living room.

The large, light and airy living room also has a small study that looks over the sea. Two steps lead to the sleeping quarters comprising the children’s bedrooms and the en suite master bedroom. The bedrooms lead into one another so that the whole layout flows. The lighting is completely natural.

The master bedroom has been designed so that sea views can be enjoyed from the bed. The passageway out of it serves as a dressing room with a window that gives onto the living room. The whole layout of the lower floor plays on the different heights that make it up.

The kids’ bedroom, with three beds and ample storage space, was designed with them in mind. It was also designed so that they would have the best possible views. This seaside apartment has materials selected to bring warmth into it and that perfectly match the surroundings.

We left in areas with some of the building’s original stonework, which has been painted over so that it matches the rest of the décor.

A full makeover of a home in a skyscraper in Barcelona. The main brief was to make the most of the views. It was also important to use all of the natural sunlight in this apartment.

A bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living-dining room were designed for this 90 m2 space.
The straight lines and the two-tone wooden paneling are the showpiece of this design. This gives it a restrained, masculine and elegant look. The fixtures were carefully chosen so that they each had their own identity and place within the décor.

There is stained oak flooring throughout.
The shiny black kitchen and worktop are set off by matte stainless steel fixtures.
The fireplace is an original Baroque-style feature of the apartment in white marble with an oak mantelpiece in simple, straight lines.

A set of mirrors on the walls in the hallway makes it seem double the size in the daytime.
Sculptures, works of art and select pieces of furniture are showcased in this space.
It has a terrace for entertaining with wooden decking and custom furnishings.

The full design of a family home. All of the spaces were designed to cover the family’s requirements.
The ground floor was laid out to accommodate the daytime living space, the kitchen, living-dining room, doorways to the outside and a guest bedroom. The same flooring was used throughout the house, even for the outside porch, to achieve the same look from top to bottom.

White kitchen units without handles and a worktop in very pure lines were used in the design of the kitchen. It leads straight to the dining room, which is on a higher level and open to the upstairs so that there is a play on the volumes in this space. There was sufficient room to fit in a large floor lamp as lighting in the dining room. We chose furniture with straight lines and ch24 chairs to give a special touch. The side of the dining area leads to the porch where there is an outdoor table.

The living room is presided by a large, very high custom-made bookshelf.
It has French windows that lead directly to the garden, which has a seating area, a landscaped garden and a chill-out area next to the pool.

The upstairs sleeping quarters are reached from an open-plan staircase specially designed to showcase it in the big window on the front of the house.

The master bedroom has a large dressing room, an en suite bathroom and is sufficiently big to create a pleasant, comfortable space.

There are two other rooms on this floor, both of which have en suite bathrooms.

We gave this loft apartment in Barcelona’s Poblenou district the name Loft Is in the Air.
In pure NYC style, we played on wood, brick and iron in this open-plan apartment.

The lower floor houses an open-plan kitchen with modern lines and a more traditional island just next to the Scandinavian-inspired dining-room with light wood.

Fabrics and designs were chosen to match the box-like space we had for the spacious and comfortable living room. Yarns, wool and tacks highlight this bold space.

The open-plan master bedroom was placed on the first floor. Only a headboard-cum-dressing room helped mark the way around this bedroom. It adjoins the study, which has a more industrial feel to it thanks to the iron furniture we designed for it so that it would perfectly match the walls and the large window that has views of the old industrial chimneys in the neighborhood.

The second floor is a kid’s paradise found under the metal beams of the roof that helped us “decorate” this room.
The red color scheme and the old-style beds with school desks enabled us to create the look we were looking for.
