This project by the interior designer Pia Capdevila has involved a reform and interior design work of a second residence in Mallorca for a family with three children. Its owners loved the orientation, the light and the possibility of extending meters.
The house has 150m2 divided into two floors. On the main floor there are two levels, with the main entrance and one of the living rooms of the house located on the street level, which leads to the covered outdoor living room. The attached kitchen, guest toilet and dining room are on the same floor, although one meter higher. Next to the kitchen are the access stairs to the upper floor -with three bedrooms and two bathrooms-.
One of the objectives for the interior design of the entire house has been to subtly attract attention in each room with iconic and old pieces. A project with art, papers and textiles with textures, resistant materials that respects its location and the architecture of the area. The neutral chromatic base allows each of the pieces chosen by the interior designer to stand out. The homeowners are lovers of art and special pieces, so Pia Capdevila has made a highly sought after selection of pieces of art, sculptures and paintings, and has included design icons in lighting, furniture and decorative accessories. “One of the requirements has been to use a neutral base so that the iconic and special pieces look better,” says Pia Capdevila.
