The comprehensive reform and interior design project of this Barcelona apartment, carried out by Pia Capdevila, had three objectives: to optimize spaces, gain functionality and visually expand the day area. Its location at three winds allowed the creation of a reform that would enhance natural light throughout the house.
To expand the day area, part of the balcony was integrated into the living room, generating a more square space. Gaining spaciousness in the day area allowed the kitchen to be integrated into the living-dining room through a semi-open space. The office space and the courtesy toilet located at the entrance of the house were also rethought.
In the night area, one of the four bedrooms was eliminated to give it to the suite, achieving greater space to be able to place a dressing room.
The floor of the house was chosen in a natural oak but with a slightly higher tint than normal to be able to combine some furniture with a darker finish that the property wanted to keep in the house.
