The interior designer Pia Capdevila has been responsible for the reform and interior design of this apartment, making it go from being a dark apartment of 100 square meters with 4 rooms and all its small rooms to become a bright apartment with large bedrooms and an area very spacious by day.
As for the colors and tones of the interior design of the house, they have been chosen in clear so that they convey calm and peace. The original porcelain floor was replaced by an oak-finished laminate with a long and wide plank from Parador.
THE KEY TO THIS REFORM: Getting the light that entered through the façade of the gallery to reach the interior patio area. For this, a bookcase has been designed that lets in light, the kitchen has been projected with glass and all the shades of the house have been chosen light to enhance the luminosity and spaciousness.
The starting point to create the distribution of the whole house was the design of a custom-made furniture designed to function as a hall furniture, separating the living room to access the children’s bedroom and the laundry room and, at the same time, the living room bookcase with hole for the TV. “We found an original plant with complicated shapes with complex vertices that in the end we were able to adapt to the new layout perfectly”, says Pia Capdevila.
